One thing we love about Jellystone Park™ Gardiner is the gorgeous mountain views that surround our Camp-Resort. This is all thanks to the Shawangunk Ridge! This area is best for biking, hiking, mountain climbing, cross-country skiing, and more. Plus, it’s located just 10 minutes away from our Camp-Resort and is a great place to go for all ages.
New York State Museum
Hey history lovers – you won’t want to miss checking out the New York State Museum! This museum is considered the oldest state museum in the country – making it a great way to learn about the history of New York! Whether you’re interested in art, nature, or science, this museum has it all. Located an hour and a half away from Jellystone Park™, the New York State Museum is a great option for a day of exploring. Plus, admission is free!
Shawangunk Wine Trail
Gather some friends and head out for an afternoon or evening at the Shawangunk Wine Trail. Located between the Shawangunk Ridge and the Hudson River, this wine trail is just minutes away from our Camp-Resort. Visit one or all of the local wineries and find your new favorite wine! Some options include Angry Orchard, Clearview Vineyard, Robibero Winery, and Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery.
Historic Huguenot Street
Only 20 minutes away from Jellystone Park™, Historic Huguenot Street is a great educational experience perfect for both kids and parents alike! Aiming to help people understand the historical forces that helped shape America, Historic Huguenot Street is an innovative museum full of history. Discover various exhibits, artifacts and culture from the French and Dutch heritage.
Troy Waterfront Farmers’ Market
If you’re staying for a long weekend at Jellystone Park™, stopping to Troy Waterfront Farmers’ Market on Saturday morning is a must! From fresh bread and aged cheese, to homemade ice cream and local produce, you’ll love the variety this place has to offer. The hour and a half drive from Jellystone Park™ will be worth it – you may even find some items that will go great over the campfire!
