If you're looking to experience great shopping while camping in New Paltz, you must check out the Water Street Market. This is a European inspired collection of boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Located right off Main Street, this market is the perfect spot to pick up a souvenir to help you remember your vacation at Jellystone Park™ Gardiner! This local attraction is less than 15 minutes away from our Camp-Resort and is a favorite spot for our campers to explore.

One of New Paltz's best attractions is the surrounding nature! Visit Minnewaska State Park to experience it for yourself. This 22,275-acre nature preserve on the Shawangunk Ridge is a perfect place to spend an afternoon hiking, biking, or swimming. We recommend packing a picnic and spending the whole day here! One the best family-friendly trails is the Lake Minnewaska Loop Trail. This 1.9-mile loop features stunning scenery and an easy hike. The fee for parking at Minnewaska is $10 per car, and is only a short 10 minute drive away from our Camp-Resort!

Robibero Family Vineyards features views of the Shawangunk Mountains and is great when staying at a New Paltz campground.

Robibero Family Vineyards features 42-acre sprawling vineyards with views of the Shawangunk Mountains. Just under 10 minutes away, you won’t want to miss this family owned & operated vineyard. The tasting fee is $20.00 per person and includes a sample of 4 wines. Stay for dinner to enjoy one of their woodfire pizzas OR bring your own food to picnic on the lawn while enjoying the views with a glass of wine! 

Dressel Farms is family-owned and operated fruit and vegetable farm in New York’s Hudson Valley.

15 minutes away from Jellystone Park™ at Lazy River lies Dressel Farms. This family-owned and operated fruit and vegetable farm in New York’s Hudson Valley is a must-visit. Famous for their apples, strawberries, fresh apple cider, and hard cider, they have an ever-changing menu based on the season. Make sure to check their website ahead of time to see what's available. U-pick strawberries begins in June, making this the perfect New Paltz attraction for all ages!
